“El Faro” is Spanish for lighthouse.  I was inspired to paint this old abandoned lighthouse in Cozumel as we were coming in from a dive trip late in the afternoon.  As the lighthouse gave direction to wayward ships centuries ago, among dark clouds and rough seas, to me as it still stands it symbolizes strength and security.
